I’ve added UiFileBrowser to the Ui library. I wanted a browser that could follow an application’s styling and handle the numbered image sequences commonly used in visual effects.
The main features include:
- Image-sequence grouping, with frame ranges, increments and missing-frame information.
- Detail and thumbnail views, natural sorting, search and include/exclude filters.
- Breadcrumb navigation, history, places and pinned locations.
- Built-in JPEG, PNG and plain-text previews, with a provider interface for additional formats.
- Shared Ui theme and typography support, including light and dark appearances.
- Use as an embedded control or a modal file picker.
Sequence handling is particularly useful when a directory contains thousands of frames representing a handful of shots. A file browser should probably help with that administrative misunderstanding.
