I'm trying to write a program that sends mail, but the SMTP example doesn't work. Does anyone have a working example application? Thank you very much in advance.

It is probably authentication problem - that example works in general, worked for gmail like 12 years ago, but gmail security hardened since.

You need some additional steps in google to make it work, https://www.gmass.co/blog/gmail-smtp/
