Alpha channel in raster images [message #13597]

Does UPP load an alpha channel stored in raster images such like TIF or BMP? Is anything special need to be done to do this? Because I have tried to load an image with an alpha but it doesn't seems to work (image was not displayed as transparent).

AFAIK, alpha channel is supported in PNG only.

I am not able to get alpha values even from PNG. I can set alpha once the image is loaded (one by one) but I am not able load an alpha stored in file.

Could you provide the testcase?

(A package that tries to load .png and does not work + .png itself).

I am sorry. It was a way how an image have to be saved from Photoshop what needs to be corrected.

(I just tried to save an alpha channel but it does not work. Then I have deleted a background layer and saved just one non-bg-layer where transparent pixels ware erased. Sorry again.)
